On the surface, an individual is repulsed at the idea of killing another person and may even assert that only the criminal element is able to tap into that otherwise unattainable mental place; however, the scientifically proven frequency of homicidal fantasies tells another story entirely. Researchers have learned via a succession of similar findings that the human species has an innate inclination -- or instinct -- toward at least entertaining the idea of murder within the safety net of personal imagination. What drives people to actually slaying another is what breaks the connection to fantasy and makes it a reality. Understanding the triggers and why they are different between the sexes speaks to the relevance of this research and how it extends previous research in social science by providing a better understanding of how the male and female perspective impacts behavior. model is paramount to revealing the most accurate outcome; while it is critical to uncover data without inadvertent bias or manipulation - an occurrence that can happen with any format
- qualitative methodology is especially fitting to draw accurate conclusions where people are the focal point of the study. This study employed qualitative methodology because it strives to reach
much more deeply into the subject matter than its quantitative counterpart, providing a greater level of understanding pertaining to quality that cannot otherwise be disclosed through a research method that
studies only quantity. Since the objective of the research is to explore, interpret or obtain a deeper understanding of a particular educational issue, qualitative methods are the most appropriate
ones to utilize, inasmuch as it provides for a much more broadly examined analysis without the specific focus inherent to the deductive approach. This study interviewed 760 undergraduates to
