anything but a bad seed. In fact, a student writing on this topic claims that the personal qualities of Ho Chi Minh -- simplicity, integrity, and determination-are qualities that prompts
admiration for the leader throughout the world. Of course, Ho Chi Minh did not begin his life in a leadership position. In fact, he was born in
a village and employed as a cook on a steamship, but he did participate in rather radical activities ("Biography of Ho Chi Minh," 2008). In fact, at the age of
thirteen, he was expelled from school because of some of his radical ideas (Baggs, 1967). His father was a poor man (Fischer, 1954). Ho Chi Minh would go on
to be the founder of the French Communist Party ("Biography of Ho Chi Minh," 2008). It seemed that while he was a man of small means, he would
grow into a political giant. Throughout his years, he was imprisoned and then had to spend years recovering from tuberculosis ("Biography of Ho Chi Minh," 2008). He did not have
an easy life. In fact, it seems that he struggled with a variety of issues throughout most of his life. In 1945, the surrender of Japan would see Vietminh
seize power and then claim the Democratic Republic of Vietnam ("Biography of Ho Chi Minh," 2008). Ho Chi Minh became president of the country ("Biography of Ho Chi Minh," 2008).
