Hinduism is not a concrete religion like other religions in that it lacks a truly unifying belief. Within each community seems to lie a different approach or different diety (or
deities) than another community (Religious Tolerance, 2007). Some have seen it as a religion that is polytheistic in that it believes in many gods, while others see it as a
religion which is monotheistic, believing in only one god. However, what keeps this religion unto itself is the basic belief that "The entire universe is seen as one divine entity
who is simultaneously at one with the universe and who transcends it as well" and as such some followers will worship gods and goddesses and others simply one diety (Religious
Tolerance, 2007). There is the common belief holding to Brahman which is one god that possesses three entities: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva
(Religious Tolerance, 2007). But, "Strictly speaking, most forms of Hinduism are henotheistic; they recognize a single deity, and recognizes other gods and goddesses as facets, forms, manifestations, or aspects of
that supreme God" (Religious Tolerance, 2007). Another part of their belief system involves reincarnation where the soul leaves the body and enters into another body thus living many lives (Religious
