evaluate the program, the scenario describes the grief of Kristen, an adolescent driver who is responsible for the death of her sister and several other adolescents, due to her failure
to safely pull back into traffic from the side of the road. The scenario states that grief counselors were available and it describes how Kristen passed through stages of grief,
as described by Kubler-Ross and Worden. Ten months after the accident, Kristen still experiences sadness and loss, but has worked through her guilt and has made appropriate adjustments, which suggests
that Kristen is healing emotionally and will recover and move on with her life. This suggests that Kristen has received appropriate and effective help, but the scenario does not tell
this writer/tutor what--if anything--a high school bereavement program had to do with Kristens recovery. The scenario simply states that psychological counseling was available and that a candlelight service was held.
The fact that Kristen is doing well suggests that this is an effective program, but no details are offered. Therefore, the only option left open to this writer/tutor is to
