fructose corn syrup. The following paper examines the link, if there is one, between high fructose corn syrup and obesity. High Fructose Corn Syrup and Obesity According to
one author, "High-fructose corn syrup isnt completely responsible for the nations 6 million overweight children - but Dr. George Bray says its a big part of the problem" (Poirot). According
to this article a persons environment, the perspective of nurture, is far more important in the rise of obesity, meaning that it is not genetics but rather culture, upbringing, and
also what one eats that leads to obesity (Poirot). As such the ingesting of high fructose corn syrup is part of the problem (Poirot).
According to this doctor the study of obesity, which began in the early 70s, indicates that 1970 was the year that high fructose corn syrup was introduced and since
