very interesting company that has some strengths as well as weaknesses. The company; Hewlett packard is one of the best known companies for
printers and computers and other imaging products. It position is not only financially strong, but is also seen as a good employer, being voted for as one of the "100
Best Companies in America for Working Mothers" by the working mothers magazine (Hewlett-Packard, 2002). Additionally in Fortune magazines "Most Admired Companies in America" in 1997 it ranked fourth (Hewlett Packard,
2002). Existing competitors The market for the products are both domestic and commercial, however the environment in which it operated in for both
of these markets is very highly competitive. The way in which the product is perceived had changed over the last decade. Originally seen as a luxury by the domestic market
it is becoming more and more a necessity as technology moves into the home. Therefore, competition is high. The segments if the tech markets are varied, in the market
