Nutrition and exercise represent integral components within the overall concept of well being; in fact, it can readily be asserted that proper nutrition and regular exercise may be the cornerstone of prevention for myriad illnesses and diseases, not the least of which is heart attacks (Anonymous, 2009). Changing diet and lifestyle can reflect a more healthful approach and significantly alter the crippling influence that can arise due to coronary heart disease; however, even when armed with this knowledge, myriad people continue to consume unhealthy diets and forego exercise for a sedentary way of life. The human body responds at its optimal level when people take care of them through nutrition and exercise, which means each and every person plays in integral role in his or her capacity to prevent heart attacks by incorporating a more nutrient-rich and less fat-laden diet (Anonymous, 2009). However, the incidence of heart disease can be attributed to a combination of genetics and an individuals physiological composition. People can create the unhealthy form of cholesterol without eating the bad foods associated with it, inasmuch as some systems automatically produce significantly more than the body requires. For these people, the genetic aspect comes into play, proving particularly detrimental when harmful foods are consumed on top of the already high amount produced.
