In looking at non-construction occupations, there are many dangers that lurk. Obviously, those who work in construction wear hard hats for safety purposes, but it is not unlikely for
them to be electrocuted, or to fall to their deaths or to experience other hazards of the job. Yet, those in non-construction occupations are also exposed to hazards. Much has
been made about the fact that some establishments hire meat cutters younger than eighteen or farm workers who are minors and are either hurt or killed while performing these dangerous
duties. There is a television show called Dangerous Jobs that feature a number of occupations that are dangerous and are not in the construction trade. For example, fishing is quite
hazardous as is driving on the ice roads of Alaska. There are so many dangerous jobs, it is hard to list them all. At the same time, it is also
true that ordinary work is dangerous. Working as a receptionist at an abortion clinic can be detrimental to ones health because abortion clinics are targets of terrorists. Abortion clinics are
often bombed. Other hazards are also known but little discussed. Years ago, nurses and CNAs never used gloves to protect themselves when taking blood, or at least the precautions
were minimal. This was before the AIDS and hepatitis outbreaks that are so prevalent today. Yet, many nurses who have worked in the occupation for a long time have contracted
