a court of law in a variety of ways. The most common form of harassment claims stem from sexual harassment accusations, but diversity harassment has also come to surface, especially
with race relations being as unstable as they have been over the course of American history. There have also been harassment cases against people who hold certain religious backgrounds and
beliefs. This essay will discuss a legal issue in Greenwich, Connecticut regarding a recent court case in which a 22-year-old male posted Anti-Semitic comments on a females Facebook page. It
also discusses what constitutes a hate crime and what is considered free speech in a court of law. The man was eventually charged with intimidation based on bigotry
or bias as well as second-degree harassment after voluntarily turning himself in to law enforcement officials (Friedman, 2010). As in most harassment crimes, the perpetrator knew the victim and in
this case they were described as acquaintances. After logging onto her Facebook account and reading the comments posted by the male, the female contacted law enforcement officials to notify them
of the messages posted on the males profile. A law enforcement official commented that the posts were in fact disturbing and noted that there was mention of the Holocaust on
