Hamlet, and how he avenges his fathers death. His father was killed by Hamlets uncle and, once Hamlet sees the ghost of his father telling him to seek revenge,
Hamlet uses whatever means are at his disposal to carry out his fathers wishes. While Hamlet is full of various
levels of meaning within its texts, we will take two issues from within this Shakespearean play and provide analysis as to the nature of the specific problem and how it
is resolved within the confines of the play. First, is the issue of Hamlets death at the end of the
play. Certainly no Hollywood producer would have agreed to such an ending! But in Hamlet the main character does indeed die. Why is this necessary and why
did Shakespeare choose this ending? Second, is the issue of how Hamlet views death throughout the course of this play. The
beginning of the play starts with Hamlets father, who has recently died, revealing himself to his son in the the form of a ghost. How does this impact Hamlet
