moves more toward the direction of a knowledge economy, and as human capital becomes more and more important, human resources departments and their leaders are assuming more roles as business
strategists, moving out of the realm of pencil pushers, candidate screeners and forms-filler outers. Business literature abounds in the fact that the
role of HR has changed to more of a strategic alliance role. This only makes sense - HR is in charge of human capital. And it is human capital, as
