seems to be dull and boring in comparison to all the other entertainment options. In addition, with the fast pace of our daily lives, the idea of taking several
hours to read a book versus an hour or two to watch a movie or listen to a book on audio seems to fit into our lifestyle much better. If
a person wanted to be cost effective, the hours spend with a good book at a cost of approximately $25.00 if you purchase a new hardcover book or as little
as $.50 if you can be happy with a used paperback, is minimal. Especially if you compare that to the cost of going to a movie or owning and
maintaining all the latest electronic devices, such as a plasma television, DVD player, or a home stereo surround system. And books are not necessarily a solitary form of entertainment. Parents
