similar to other types of resources, such as physical assets and financial assets. The human assets are valuable, but like any other assets the employer is likely to benefit if
they are able to leverage those assets; hence the need for management. Therefore, human resource management is the way that humans are managed as resources which are part of business.
This does not necessarily mean that they should be seen as similar to inanimate objects that are there to be used without consideration, in many instances the leveraging of human
resources is best undertaken with practices aligned to the human relations theory, where aspects such as motivation are key to the management. Therefore, the management may incorporate hard and soft

certainly true that they would have had longer within the workplace, and as such may have had longer to become "setting in their ways", will whereas employees to tell relatively
