a lack of preparation can spell doom for a party. In this process paper, well examines the steps necessary to building a successful
party from start to finish. Though the sources chosen are fairly specific, much of the following can be applied to almost any party planning endeavor.
There are several different "branches" when it comes to planning a party. There is the food (planning, preparation and serving). There are the administrative tasks (such as invitations
and setting up parking space). There is set-up and clean up. Well try to address these. The first step is to determine why
the party is taking place. Is it a holiday party? A birthday party? Or just an "I feel like holding a party because its been awhile?" party? This will help
determine the theme of your event, how many youll invite and who youll invite. For example, who you invite to a childrens party (and what you serve) is going to
vary from who you invite (and what you serve) at an adult party. Then youll want to determine when this is. This will
give you the timeline, ranging from when to send out the invitations, to when to buy the food, plan the entertainment and so on.
