Miami-Dade County area in which the student is interested is technically the zip code areas in which congresswoman Carrie Meeks oversees. Over time, this area has had four separate
areas "for planning for HIV/AIDS services" (AIDS Summit PG). This was later pared down to just one organization which handles all aspects of the community, and the goals of
the Miami/Dade HIV/AIDS Partnership are as follows: * Assess the communitys needs with regard to HIV/AIDS prevention, health and supportive services, and housing. * Develop a community-wide
comprehensive plan for HIV/AIDS. * Develop a community-wide HIV prevention plan. * Establish service priorities for HIV/AIDS care and treatment and for prevention. *
