cohesion is developed. This can be difficult as it means bringing together an often diverse range of individual who may not be in the same social groups and have very
different personalities and values. Group cohesion is usually developed as part of the team or group building process. For a group to function productively there is a lifecycle model that
should be followed with 5 stages which indicates where and how dynamics are seen to emerge within the team (Steiner, 1972). The 5 states are orientation, dissatisfaction, resolution, production and
termination. It may be argued that the most problematic or difficult stage is that of resolution. This may be seen as similar to what Tuckman (1965) describes the five stages
as forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning, they are roughly equivalent in the terms of the way dynamics take place, where norming may be seen as the equivalent of resolution
and is the most difficult stage. The reason why this is difficult is due to the stage and the actins needed at
this stage. The first stage is where the team members are eager and positive and there is the need to define the roles and goal of the team members. The
next stage is dissatisfaction. This is a natural stage. Feelings may result from resentment frustration or anger as a result of dependence on authority or circumstances. These are all dependant
on the way the individual feels and their own perception and there is not need for any compromise or adjustment of feeling to take place. The next stage of resolution
is difficult as it re quires broader considerations and a move away from a self centric approach. For some individuals this is natural and there is an easy adjustment, but there
