stages. Some do not recognize the need for incorporating elements, such as distributed leadership and the emergence of positive interdependence. Others in the corporate world do not realize that training
in certain areas is essential for that group to be successful, such as setting norms, agreement on strategies when disagreements occur or conflict breaks out. The essay applies these
theories to an organization called Families with Children from China (FCC). This is an international support group. Their Web page only identifies the U.S., UK and Canada but there are
actually chapters in Ireland, Australia, Denmark, Norway, Australia, Sweden and Spain (http://catalog.com/fwcfc/contacts.html). The organization itself provides a massive amount of information to anyone who accesses their Web sites. They publish
a regular newsletter that typically reports stories of the experiences of individuals or families who are or have adopted children from China. The actual physical process of traveling to
pick up the infant or child is horrendous and beset with issues the Chinese government is well known for. One purpose of any support group is education. FCC more
than fulfills this purpose. They offer more information in more forms than one could digest in a week. The organizations Web site also links the user to chapters in different
geographic regions and they provide information and guidelines for establishing an FCC chapter (http://catalog.com/fwcfc/contacts.html). The organization itself seems to be very effective and exceeds its mission in terms of
