has been recognized that contamination can spread quickly through dissolution and the movement of the liquid through the groundwater, and so the volume of the contamination can increase exponentially (Smith
and Hult, 1994). As a result, researchers have argued that there is a greater need to assess the behaviors of organic liquids relative to ground water flow rates as
a part of the activity to reduce the spread of contaminants in affected sites (Smith and Hult, 1994). In considering the spread of contaminants in a localized site, it
is necessary to understand the basic scenario of a localized septic tank contamination process and the impacts of factors like the types of contaminants, the discharge rate, the flow characteristics
and the pathways to the aquifer. These elements play a role in assessing the problematic nature of a localized contamination process and the impacts for groundwater quality. The problematic
nature of groundwater contamination is often related to the specific conditions in which the discharge of materials occurs. Considering the specific nature of a given scenario, then, can define
the best options for addressing the problem and for reducing the spread of contaminants to the aquifer. In case being considered, the contaminants include the materials existing in a
septic tank (domestic treatment system) with very specific conditions, including the existing of six meters of gravely till overlying 12 meter thickness of well fissured limestone rock. The following
information relates to the strata characteristics: TABLE Element Effective Porosity Value of K Till 10 percent K=10 to the power of
