"Greeting 40" is a trifold brochure targeting women over 40 and discussing the physical and social changes that women can expect as they age. The topic is
one that many women fear, in large part because womens bodies change more rapidly after maturity than at any other time other than childhood. Parents attend to the changes
in their children, but individuals must attend to those occurring when they are adults. Also, there are many misconceptions about issues such as menopause and life changes. As
a trifold brochure, the leaflet cannot address all points of aging in any great detail. It does, however, provide a list of tests and screenings that women should take
advantage of after the age of 40. Brochure Rationale Choice of medium. The leaflet is a form of printed matter convenient for
care givers to distribute to patients and general enough that it cannot go into too much detail. It can be actively given to patients, or individuals can pick them
up on their own. In either case, the leaflet is self-explanatory and does not require any direct time with care givers for explanation of its contents.
Target audience. Most women are curious about menopause and what it will mean in their lives. Public health messages have been common for years,
but only those recognizing their need for greater information are likely to seek out that information. Older women may be more likely to seek answers to their questions in
