nation, but when focusing on Greece, there is a bit of an enigma. This is a very old nation with a unique history. Ancient Greece has contributed a great deal
to culture in general, but certainly Greece is most affected by this legacy. Of course, things have changed significantly since its Ancient years. Also, it should be noted that things
have changed since the new millennium has arisen and circumstances-at least on the surface level-- are a bit better in Greece, at least in terms of the nations vision. There
seems to be hope for this country that has not always fared well economically. According to a student writing on this subject, "the year 2004 has been marked with a
number of significant events in Greece, the change in government in March and the successful hosting of the 28th Olympiad in August. The government has labeled next year, 2005, as
the national year of competitiveness while Greece is still the worst country in the eurozone for attracting foreign direct investment." In part, it fails because it does not have the
appropriate "carrot" and therefore does not attract new business as much as does other countries. And while investors may not be interested in investing in this countrys offerings, Greek companies
also suffer. In other words, even with scant FDI, the real problem lies in the sustenance of firms that are purely Greek. While some companies have not thrive in
Greece, there are companies that shine. Unibrain for example is a small firm that has done well for itself. It is domiciled in Greece and has been aligned with one
