many problems facing our nation today. By far the most concerning of those problems, however, revolve around our move away from self sufficiency and our growing dependency on the
government. Americans are no longer able to provide for the most basic of their family needs. They have become more and more dependent on the government to provide
for those needs. This makes them vulnerable to everything from losing their homes to, succumbing to disease, to starving to death. Just as concerning, however, is the fact
that Americans are largely unaware of their vulnerability. The impending financial doom that we are facing today couples with our growing dependence on the government to present an urgency
of a proportion that has seldom been matched in history. There are, of course, a multitude of subcategories that we must consider when
we consider the contention presented above. Consider, for example, the state of the nation in terms of health and employment, or unemployment as the case may be. Health
care is considered by many to be one of the most challenging public arenas of the modern day. The reason for this challenge relates to the phenomenal changes health
care has undergone over the last couple of generations. The evolution of health care delivery systems has had a definite impact on health care in our country. Our
nations health care has been impacted by a combination of our longer life spans and more and more elaborate and expensive medical technology. This combination is largely positive but
