book Going Home: Jesus and Buddha as Brothers, which describes the similarities and differences of two of the worlds most important faiths. Discussion Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hanh has
written several other books about religion; his Living Buddha, Living Christ was also an exploration of the connections between Buddhism and Christianity (Kirkus Reviews, 1999). In Going Home, he
continues his comparison, and also argues that both religions are struggling to remain meaningful in a world that seems to have less and less need for organized religion (Kirkus Reviews,
1999). Buddhists and Christians shouldnt see each other as enemies, but learn to work together (Kirkus Reviews, 1999). One of the most confusing parts of Buddhism for Christians appears
to be the way in which Buddhists see all of nature within themselves. Hanh discusses the idea of having a home, and the nature of that home, when he
says "What is the meaning of true home? ... When we are mindful, fully living each moment of our daily lives, we may realize that everyone and everything around us
is our home" (Hanh, 1999). He goes on, "A wave looking deeply into herself will see that she is made up of all the other waves and will no
longer feel she is cut off from everything around her" (Hanh, 1999). He suggests that people learn to do the same thing, to be aware of and recognize everything
as our "home," whether it is the sky, the trees or the air: "When you practice walking meditation, walk in such a way that you recognize your home, in
