God, God is holy; God is love" (Lewis 493). Therefore, this description does not just allude to what God does, rather they define "What God is" (Lewis 493). The
moral purity of God includes the dimensions of "(1) holiness, (2) righteousness, and (3) justice" (Erickson 310). Nevertheless, some people identify "potential tension," which is typically associated with the "relationship
between Gods love and his justice" (Erickson 324). However, this tension results from defining each of these attributes as separate from each other, as simply granting "what someone else desires
is not biblical" (Erickson 324). Gods love has a much broader scope than this purely human orientation as it includes justice. The
actions that God takes toward people necessarily include the "the ultimate welfare of all humanity," as well as "a passion to do what is right," which includes "enforcement of appropriate
consequences for wrong action" (Erickson 324). When a parent punishes a child for disobeying the rules of a household, the parent is showing both love and justice, as this shapes
how the child will grow and develop and fit into the framework of society at-large. In a similar, Gods justice served throughout the Old Testament to guide the Israelites and
keep them mindful of the Word of God. As this indicates, love and justice are both evident in Gods interaction with humanity. Gods
