Telelogical Proof of Gods Existence Cleanthes finds a dry sort of humor in the concept of philosophical skepticism, which
he calls brutish, vulgar and ignorant based on his main argument that if you cannot touch, feel, see or prove something via science, it does not exist. Yet, he denies
this and relates his denial to the fact that one cannot describe, scientifically, how food is processed in the body or the function of an atom in the clinging together
of matter. By relying on an argument of scientific classification and proof in regards to things that must work without scientific explanation, then the same theory can be applied to
theology and religion. Cleanthes is claiming that the world is experienced by humans in more ways than the scientific, particularly as beauty.
Even the experience of working with an item of matter cannot be wholly explained through a scientific explanation of how the item works. In other words, the item is also
"experienced" internally in some manner, as well as externally via touch or logical use of the item in daily living. In this way,
the student may note, Cleanthes puts forth a three-step method of defining the experiential, which has a certain order such as the world described in scientific terms. This might be
described by Feinberg in a similar manner as the following: (1) A boat is made of matter: wood, nails, ropes, etc. - all parts to bring about an ordered "whole."
