and reveals the result of the prayers the Israelites used to communicate with God. Understanding how God delivered the Israelites based upon their prayers to Him requires an examination
of the evidence, which is indeed plentiful. The history of the Israelites throughout the Bible and the Apocrypha is long and troubled. Furthermore, the Bible shows that God
provides individuals to the people (such as Moses), who embody Gods response to their problems. We find that the story
of Gods deliverance in the Bible is evident in the Old Testament, which consists of the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy (Out of Egypt, 2003). Essentially,
the Israelites were being enslaved by their Egyptian leaders (Out of Egypt, 2003). God said that he would deliver them a person to lead them out of Egypt, and
that person was Moses (Out of Egypt, 2003). Moses did lead them out of Egypt, providing them with a "covenant" relationship with God (Out of Egypt, 2003). Old
Testament Law and the Ten Commandments express this relationship (Out of Egypt, 2003). One of the first examples of Gods
deliverance to the Israelites comes in the form of the plagues that He visited upon the Egyptians (Out of Egypt, 2003). The Pharaoh, who ruled Egypt, did not want
