believe hope is born for mankind. According to the views of many notable theologians, hope is inherently achieved by the very fact that this union exists, as opposed to
religions that believe salvation to be the sole work of God alone. It is the fact that God indeed "intermingled" with humans that these theologians find their foundation of
hope, and it is because humans share a likeness to God that we are again to find hope for our futures. God has promised (in the Bible) the second
coming of his son, Jesus Christ, and therein lies the essential foundation of the trinity, and of Christian hope. The
discussion of the holy Trinity can be first evidenced in the Nicene Creed, which says, "We Believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life" (Mills, 1999).
Therefore, understanding the Trinity is likening it to one essence, but three persons (Mills, 1999). So while clearly they are unified in terms of their holiness, they are indeed
separate and not to be understood as one being, according to Orthodoxy, and other Christians who are proponents of this viewpoint (Mills, 1999).
Chief among notable theologians to undertake study of this matter is Jurgen Moltmann, and his philosophy is often referred to as the theology of Trinity (Jurgen Moltmann,
2003). His fundamental message: that hope for the future is based upon the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Jurgen Moltmann, 2003). It is indeed interesting to
