winning yet another military contract to supply Austria with more and better fighting equipment. While pistols were somewhat out of the range of what GLOCK typically manufactured, the company
did not bypass this opportunity to increase its exposure, which ultimately turned into one of the most fortuitous moments in the its entire existence: Now customers were able to fashion
a pistol based upon their individual requirements instead of having to adapt something that was already assembled, a turn of events that proved to be "a breakthrough in firearms technology"
(The Company). There were a number of characteristics about this particular pistol that set it apart from any other similar firearm previously manufactured, such as its lightweight polymer composition; highest
magazine capacity; and the conspicuous absence of any external equipment like hammer, decocker or safety lever that necessitated deactivation before shooting. As such, these unique factors earned the newly
introduced GLOCK the reputation of being "faster, simpler and safer to use than any other pistol" (The Company), which provided the shooter with more opportunity to focus on important aspects
