However, there is another side to globalization that concerns many people. This aspect, an aspect that is not often discussed or even recognized, is that which relates increased enslavement in
the world and globalization. The student requesting this tutorial has asked that this essay be directed at a senator who has just learned such truths, and this senator needs to
have further research done before they can vote for legislation increasing globalization efforts. The following paper does not specifically address the senator, but offers a research look at the information

In better understanding the information that will be presented it is important to first briefly define globalization and slavery. Globalization is the effort or endeavor to bring together
nations through economic trade. Through importing and exporting various products it is believed that the world can become more cohesive, and that various economies can grow stronger and the world
more unified. In relationship to slavery, many people envision slavery as the purchase of an individual for the purpose of work of
one kind or another. In essence slavery is the ownership of another human being for the financial gain of the owner. This can take many shapes and sizes in the
world. A parent, for example, may need to make money to support their family and may sell one of their children into sexual slavery in order to provide support for
the rest of the family. Or an entire village may be all but owned by one individual who makes them work so that trade can be a positive reality for
