In order to
look at the relationship between the flexibility and casualisation of labour and the increase of globalisation, especially in relation to such perspectives as Marxism and feminism, it would be helpful
for the student to consider the way in which globalisation itself has developed and the effect that this has had on the structure of the labour force, as well as
considering the impact which these changes have had on the relationship between capital and labour, and the extent to which production has become more fully integrated into society as a
whole. From the perspective of considering the
changes in the structure and implementation of HRM, it is obviously helpful to look at the way in which organisational structures have changed and diversified, as well as considering the
implications which this will have for the management of human resources in the future, given the way in which the relationship between employer and employee is tending to develop.
For example, the decline
of the economy which was evidenced in the 1970s was considered by Friedman and others as the result of social institutions having a negative effect on market forces as a
