beginning to realize what a serious concern it really is. With this realization more and more research is being done and more and more truths are coming out about the
devastating realities of global warming. Most of what people hear, in relationship to global warming, involves concerns of weather and how the warming will affect humanity and survival of humanity.
But, as would be expected, global warming is seriously affecting animal life on the planet as well, disturbing delicate balances in the world of nature. The following paper examines the
affect that global warming is having on animals, and what the planet can expect in terms of future affects involving animals on the planet. Global Warming and Animals
"Global warming in the Arctic is projected to raise sea levels 3 feet by 2100" and even though that outlook is clearly almost
100 years in the future, the truth is that the changes that have been experienced, and the changes that are continuing towards that outlook have been going on for awhile
and have "disrupted the lives of dozens of types of animals, birds and insects in the United States" (Leahy, 2004). In
the words of one individual, referring to studies involving plant and animal life in recent years, it seems that half of the plants and animals and insects that scientists have
examined show signs of being affected by the warming trend (Leahy, 2004). One of the reports co-authors, Camille Parmesan, stated that "the report shows that global warming is changing life
in your own backyard" (Leahy, 2004). One of the most obvious signs of global warming is just that, a global warming trend.
