there are more immediate dangers. He then goes onto a rather compelling and more serious topic, which is that children are worried about global warming. The author weeds down
the topic for the children, saying that the main argument is that people cause it versus the idea that nothing can be done about it. This is stated after it
is acknowledged that there is no debate about the existence of global warming. That is a given. The article concludes by suggesting that the leaders should not make decisions based
on bad science or at least incomplete data. It is not known what will stop global warming, so why spend money on it? Further, he claims that companies are
capitalizing on global warming by going green, but the truth is that it is all guesswork. Therefore, no one should lose sleep over the problem. This is a good
article because it begins by suggesting that global warming is terrible, but with a quick look at the subtitle, one can tell that this is simply a humorous, tongue in
cheek look at a real problem. In some way, humor lightens the seriousness of the dilemma. It is true that Al Gore has frightened many people who think that Americas
