serious concern of many for decades, or longer, it is only recently that many people have come to realize that it is a very real threat, a very real problem that is perhaps already here. The following paper examines three problems associated with global warming. Global Warming One threat, one problem, that is associated with global warming is air pollution in general. A research associate at Harvard notes that with global warming, "The air just cooks...The pollution accumulates, accumulates, accumulates, until a cold front comes in and the winds sweep it away" (Britt, 2005). This individual, who created a computer model that could predict pollution outcomes to the year 2050, indicates that, in combination with other studies, the cold fronts will slowly reduce and thus the air will possess more pollutants (Britt, 2005). The author cites more and more respiratory problems that have been experienced in the past few years and they indicate the following: "If this model is correct, global warming would cause an increase in difficult days for those affected by ozone pollution, such as people suffering with respiratory illnesses like asthma and those doing physical labor or exercising outdoors" (Britt, 2005). This is one of those problems that is perhaps not examined as much as other problems associated with global warming, but one can readily envision how increased air pollution will cause many health problems. And, it is a problem that will attack everyone ultimately in light of the fact that air travels everywhere. It is, therefore, not a problem that will only affect people on the coast or people in strong climates that will change, but something that will affect everyone. One of the most well known problems involves weather and rising water in coastal areas. It is estimated that with the ...
