would not adequately use its resources in the second. It was not as if Germany did not have the wherewithal to use the power, but it made mistakes and miscalculated
and even with a larger than life fleet, the German Navy faltered. Several things should be considered in such an analysis which is the fact that although Germanys fleet was
larger than anyone elses in World War II, it still did not win. Also, new technology would allow U.S. ships more success because they could get across the ocean much
more quickly. There were several incidents that crop up such as a time when the German fleet mistook a ship for a passenger ship as opposed to a war vessel.
Further, Hitler was not obeying the rules of war. There were a variety of blunders and while Germany performed much more successfully in the First World War, the second would
prove to be disastrous. Of course, while most of the world is pleased with Germanys losses as of course this was the time of the Holocaust, the fact is that
things might have been different had the German leadership been better. They might have used their submarines in a more advantageous manner. First, it should be said that sea travel
was quite important during these wars. Submarines, sometimes called U-Boats after the German phrase for it U-Boot, would be synonymous undersea boati. The submarines were vital at the time. They
were the sneaky vessel, much like the stealth planes that fly now, which could sink other ships. Ships which were carrying supplies were sitting ducks as they went back from
