it seems that almost all religions have some story of a great and powerful flood, and all have some story concerning the creation of man. three stories which deal with
these aspects of mankind, and the origins of mankind, are Genesis, Enuma Elish, and Gilgamesh. Now, while Genesis and Enuma Elish are believed to be historical accounts, and Gilgamesh is
a legend or fable, they all three have powerful similarities. In the following paper we present a comparison of Genesis and Enuma Elish, and then a comparison of Genesis and
Gilgamesh. The paper follows up with a discussion of the similarities presented. Genesis and Enuma Elish "The Enuma Elish is the Babylonian creation epic, a poem consisting of
seven tablets of cuneiform writing with most of the tablets containing about 150 lines....Our oldest copies of the epic all date within the first century B.C.E. but most scholars believe
