for centuries. It was noticed in the earliest of peoples, where the cave man and cave woman, for example, would have different roles. Then the article fast forwards to today,
a time when many men and women are doing the same things, such as using computers and technology and taking similar jobs. The idea of "web thinking", and the gender
differences to come from it is the basis of the article. Are men and women really that different from one another? According to the author, it seems that there are
innate differences which would allow the man and woman a different competence in many subject areas. She uses an analogy and says that each sex is playing with a
"different deck of evolutionary cards" (Fisher 14). The author points out a concrete difference in that men tend to think more abstractly than do women. The author talks about "chunking"

species and this, according to the author, is a positive thing. The second article entitled "Lip Service" also pertains to gender differences. Fillion begins by talking about how easy it
is for women to talk to one another. They can let down their guard and let their feelings pour out. The article continues to say that it would be good

and male-female relationship paradigms. The piece quickly turns to the differentiation of male and female roles in society, explaining that there have been fundamental differences in roles throughout the ages.
