paper contrasts the views of Mahatma Gandhi and Karl Marx and why each felt their way was the way to transform the world system. Several questions are considered including
which view would work well in todays world. GANDHI Gandhis way of the world was through peace and non-violence. He was a deeply spiritual man who felt
that everything could be solved if only one could get to the inside of a mans heart. As an example of Gandhis way of life, when he was a
lawyer he would drop a case if he found his client had lied to him. Gandhi felt the way of the judicial system was to get to the truth,
not to prove the guilty innocent (Gandhi PG). Obviously if this were the case now, this world could be a better place in which to live. Gandhis word for
this technique of refusing to submit to injustice was called "Satyagraha" which means literally "holding to the truth" (Gandhi PG). Gandhi spoke to his followers and declared that "a
Satyagrahi must be fearless and always trust his opponent, "for an implicit trust in human nature is the very essence of his creed." Satyagraha uncovers hidden motives and reveals the
truth; even if it results in the opponents falseness, the wrong will be more sharply felt and will be more clearly seen, and we must continually give him the opportunity
