never would have been possible a decade ago. Boundaries will start to blur and for the writer this opens up the potential for vast new avenues. Globalization. The very
definition tends to trigger different concepts, ideas and emotions in the individual whom it effects. It can be said that within the next decade there will be sweeping reforms worldwide
as globalization efforts bring an end to many of the modern day problems that plague various parts of the Earth. Some of those problems that face possible reduction are in
the areas of poverty, life expectancy, and standards of living. Globalization will pose new ideas and may change the face of capitalism forever, but in the long run, it may
very well bring about change for the good. Where the writer is concerned, the markets may well open up in countries and no longer will it matter where ones office
is physically located. What will matter will be the ability of a person to produce the copy that the respective client is in need of. For example, one may
conceivably become a staff member of a national magazine in a foreign country, even though one does not live there. All business would be conducted via the internet and satellite
communications. Globalization, then, will have opened up the world for the writer who can take advantage of it. In fact, writers have already begun to take advantage of this
