In this paper, well provide an example of a management consultants report about a specific problem. The problem, in this case, has to do
with human resources. In this day and age, workforces and workgroups managers must find a way for people of diverse backgrounds and
philosophies to come together in a harmonious unit to attack various problems and challenges. Yet this can sometimes be a daunting challenge. In the paper were about to present, well
examine a hypothetical case of a general manager of a company who must try to encourage two different groups to work with one another. As well see at first, the
manager has some trouble getting the groups to cooperate and work with one another. By offering some solutions and recommendations, we can hope to assist this manager to have a
better understanding of how to encourage his groups to get along with one another. The Problem In this situation, were assisting a
company in which the general manager is having some trouble getting three groups to think and work together. Because the marketing group, the mechanical engineers and manufacturing engineers had been
in separate rooms, neither knew what the other was doing. The result, perhaps predictably, had been costly delays on getting products to market, promises unfulfilled (as the marketing team had
no idea how long it would take the manufacturing team to get the product completed) and mechanical difficulties (as the manufacturing team and mechanical team were rarely on the same
