a new IT system so support operations. Each of these options may be assessed in order to determine if they are strategies which should be followed, to prioritise them and
assess how any chosen strategies should be implemented. The first strategy suggested is the acquisition of two new trucks. The organization already has a 90% utilization of the existing
trucks, and increased capacity would be needed for the organization to gain a greater supply of furniture to meet the ongoing need where the demand is exceeding the supply. The
acquisition of the trucks has a number of advantages; as well as increasing the capacity of furniture that may be collected and redistributed the presence of the trucks may also
help to increase revenues. The main source of revenue originates from the fund raising activities, but the trucking operations contributes roughly a third of the total revenues. However, the contribution
at the current time does not cover the costs of operating the trucks, and the service is subsided by the fund raising activities. A major consideration for the acquisition
of the trucks is to assess the value it will provide. The acquisition of two trucks would provide the opportunity for the trucking operation to become self supporting. This would
provide a long term value for the organization, and the funds currently used to support the trucking could be used elsewhere. The trucking operation would also have the potential to
