Frankenstein serves largely as his own confidant, or his ego trips up his ability to have a true confidant, as he become obsessed with his creation. Frankenstein neglects his
health, and excludes any other, possibly balancing interests that might occur, during the two year time period the project takes. Where is My Place? The initial thought for Frankenstein regarding
the creature is that he is the victim of society. The creature laments -if there is not place for me in this society-why did you bring me into it
in the first place. Frankenstein has two obvious choices. He can say I was not thinking of the Creature and was consumed by his own experience of
process, or he can feel guilty, or he can actually feel both emotions, in which one only intensifies the other. There is a possibility that the Creature is manipulating
him, but initially he does not believe it until he hears more, and finally advises, Captain Walton: "He is eloquent and persuasive; and once his words had even power
