Wright. Frank Lloyd Wright Frank Lloyd Wright was born in 1867 in Wisconsin.2 He later told his wife, "that he had made his entrance into the world on
a stormy night."3 His mother wrote that, "she greeted him with rapture."4 As a child he was essentially educated at home, and later came to a position where he could
take up a position helping design buildings with the family.5 There is evidence that he attended University "classes for two semesters , from January to December 1886. By early 1887
he was gone-out of school and in Chicago, where he had found a job in the office of J. Lyman Silsbee, the architect Jenkin Lloyd Jones commissioned to build the
family chapel."6 After working there for some time he left and began working for Louis Sullivan and Dankmar Adler who ran one
of the largest firm in Chicago at the time. During this time he met and married his first wife, Catherine Lee Clark Tobin. He worked with these men until 1893
when he opened his own business. His business developed, changed locations, and he moved around a lot, having relationships with other women. His
wife Catherine, through much of his adventures, refused to give him a divorce until the early 1900s and he married Miriam Noel who shortly thereafter left him and ultimately agreed
