growth rate of 0.37% and an average life expectancy of 78.9 years (Central Intelligence Agency, 2001). The population includes a number of different ethnic groups, including Celtic and Latin
with Teutonic, North African, Slavic, Indochinese and Basque minorities (Central Intelligence Agency, 2001). The country is predominantly Roman Catholic with this religion claming 90 percent of the population
