paper is in response to a complaint filed against the company. The complaint charges discrimination in hiring practices, specifically employee selection. Foxtrots Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) officer will
be interviewing relevant members of the Human Resources (HR) department; the manager responsible for hiring pharmacists; and several of the pharmacists currently employed by Foxtrots. As part of the
internal investigation into the charge of ethnic discriminatory hiring practices, Foxtrots will be reviewing all documents related to the matter at hand, including the r?sum?s received in response to advertisement
of the availability of the position of pharmacist and comments made by HR employees and others interviewing potential candidates. Foxtrots understands that this
initial contact by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is not yet a full investigation. Before the matter reaches that point, Foxtrots would be open to pursuing mediation to
resolve the matter. The company believes it can show its commitment to diversity and that the current charges of discrimination are unfounded. Recent Hiring Activity Among Pharmacists
Foxtrots has hired six new pharmacists in the past year. Of these new employees, "four are Caucasian, one is African-American and one is Native
American." The company readily admits that none of the new pharmacists hired in the past year is Hispanic. Employee demographics, however, indicate that Foxtrots total Hispanic population within
