a regular work day, an employee who is employed under the idea of flex time has some leeway in the actual hours that they work. Through agreement with the
employer, an employee may work when they choose, as long as they meet the required number of hours as set forth by the employer. A consideration of flex time
is also that the work that needs to be accomplished can be completed within the flexible work scheduled hours. In order to respond to a continually dynamic and changing world
it is necessary that organization have flexibility. The primary basis of flexibility for a company or corporation is to have the ability to match the need of labor with
the supply of labor that is available, while at the same time, maintaining an efficient and effective balance of well-being of the company or corporation with that of the individual
employees. The implementation of flexible work schedules is one manner in which companies or corporations are responding to the even changing composition of the work force which includes new personal
life styles such as single parent and two paycheck household, and different ways that people now perceive work time and personal time. As with any concept or idea that
is not within what was once accepted as the norm, flexible work schedules or flex time has been widely debated as being beneficial or not. TYPES OF ALTERNATIVE WORK SCHEDULES
