sector is to get good information. It is not a secret that having access to good information is critical. Not long ago, the European Commission and the French Maritime Administration
made a description which resulted in the cooperation of what was called a Quality Shipping Campaign ("Shipping " PG). In creating a data system in order to collect existing safety-related
information on ships, and making it available on the Internet, the cooperative plan would provide information to all (PG). The campaign was created for the purpose of improving maritime safety
as it became evident that one of the most significant drawbacks to a good quality culture in the shipping sector is the fact that information relating to the quality
of ships and their operators is not truly open and above board (PG). Thus, in general, much of the information about this sector is hidden that that ,along with other
problems in the industry has created a situation of volatility in the arena. Of course, information is not truly unavailable. In fact, a great deal of important information is collected,
and is in fact public knowledge, but data is generally scattered. In evaluating the various sectors of the shipping industry, it is important to look at various principles of economics
