terms of the general culture, tools such as rewards systems and traditional feedback in appraisal schemes. When looking at the role and sue of feedback loops it may be argued
that the typical state for an organisation is "bounded instability" where there is an equilibrium reached between the different feedback loops (Cadence, 2002). This is between the two outcomes that
the feedback loops may create a negative dampening effect or the positive evolutionary effect (Cadence, 2002). The balancing feedback loop is the negative look, where there are constraints,
whereas the reinforcement loop is one encouraging change and may be seen as more positive. When looking at Buffalo Wild Wings, this is a firm in a service industry where
there will always be competing needs with the requirement for good service to provide the customers with a satisfactory experience, but at the same time there will be pressures to
control costs and manage resources. This can and does lead to a balancing loop, especially at times when the restaurants are busy and the staff is stretched. An example of
a balancing feedback loop may be one where there are three elements, demand, quality and customer satisfaction, this is shown in figure 1 Figure 1 Balancing feedback loop In
this loop it is possible to see how if there is an improvement in the quality of the services this will lead to an improved customer satisfaction, if the company
has increasing levels of customer satisfaction it will increase the demand, but unless the firm has increased resources or more effective ways of working the increased demand will place even
greater pressures in the existing and impact on the level of service, which means that the service level may not improve any further and may decrease, which in turn
