not yet teenagers, but have outgrown the childish look, aged 10 - 13. The task of this paper is a reflection of the role of the fashion forecaster seeking
to identify the trends for the following year. The need to understand the way in which fashions are moving is vital for any fashion house in terms of designers and
for retailers in knowing what to stock to ensure that the inventory will then move. The role of the forecaster is to look at what appears to be occurring,
how the designers are moving and the trends that are developing, These may include the strengthened of some trends whilst others are falling out of fashion. Trend leaders may also
be seen in well known designers and also well known personalities. The trends need to be considered for the industry in general. In this paper we are looking at the
trends for female tweens, but these will also fit in with the fashion market in general, reflecting the ideas and the materials. Therefore it is necessary to consider not only
tweens, but also the more general aspects. In identifying trends these also need t be classified, as some may be marginal. Whereas
others are likely to be more mainstream. In most cases a forecaster will have relevant qualifications possible those from design school, statistical analysis skills will also prove valuable when assessing
