Essay / Research Paper Abstract
3 pages in length. Gary and Ray both experienced the tangible but often unbelievable benefits of faith healing, a method by which the healer's hands-on approach brings relief from pain. That Gary physically, emotionally and spiritually accepted the healer's ability and Ray staunchly did not makes no difference in their respective outcome, inasmuch as it is the healer's faith that ultimately allows for the therapeutic action to occur. After all, an animal receiving such healing neither understands nor puts forth any belief in the process but still experiences the benefit of its reality. How is it, then, that
faith healing can be a legitimate - if inexplicable - method for restorative health when so many people, not the least of which are represented by the devoutly religious and
scientifically-minded medical communities, defy its existence? The primary indicator for the intuitive nature of faith healing is that its foundation revolves around an entire concept most people cannot grasp

to assume the position of common sense and become ruled by natures regiment. As such, familiarity does not lend itself to unaccountability or being troublesome to understand. Why,
then, would faith healing be drawn into question when one does not require evidence to support the senses? As soon as the attempt is made to apply human reason,
this concept derived from what many believe to be a mystical nature - or pseudoscience - takes a departure from those things once considered to be so easily comprehensible.
