of 9/11. It essentially attacked President Bush and the Bush Administration as it involved the attacks, with claims of sorts that Bush was not responsive enough, may have wanted the
attacks to instigate war, and essentially illustrating the horrors of the war and the lies that were being told to the United States. The following paper analyzes this documentary.
Fahrenheit 9/11 As one author notes, "You are with Moore, or you are a war criminal" when watching this particular film and its particular position (Edelstein, 2004). In this
film there is relatively nothing new that the viewer has not seen elsewhere but Moore pulls it all together and adds additional information, such as his own personal interviews, in
order to essentially throw all the truth and information into the viewers face all at once. He offers the infamous footage of President Bush when he first heard of
the attacks. In this footage Bush appears incredibly "bewildered" and "dumbstruck" as he hears the information and then returns to reading a book to a group of children, with no
apparent indication that he was really concerned or really worried. In all honesty this essentially sets much of the foundation of what Moores film is focused upon. Bush, and his
administration, were not incredibly worried, and at the same time this demonstrates just how incapable Bush is as president. He claimed, evidently, that he did not want the children to
worry but as President of the United States he should have moved at that moment to engage in some sort of action aside from reading to the children. Another moment
