was the early 1980s trial of Alice "Lindy" Chamberlain, wife of Seventh Day-Adventist minister Michael Chamberlain and mother of three for the murder of her two-month-old baby daughter Azaria that
caused a national sensation. The mother argued that she did not kill her child with a pair of scissors during a family camping trip; a dingo entered the tent,
grabbed the baby, and took her away, eventually eating her. As the Crown admitted, much of the case against Mrs. Chamberlain was based upon circumstantial evidence and the testimony
of experts on what may have taken place (Ebert). The facts of the case indicate that there are three pieces of direct evidence that point to Mrs. Chamberlains guilt.
First, there was a significant amount of blood evidence found in the car. According to the testimony of forensic scientist Mrs. Joy Kuhl and the results of the second
inquest, fetal blood was found: * On the chamois and under the lid of its container; * On the carpet in front of the drivers seat;
* On the camera bag belonging to Michael Chamberlain; * On the yellow towel found near the rear spare wheel; * Adjacent to and on a coin
on the floor well under the front passenger seat; * A flow of blood on the hinge of the right hand side of the passenger seat running down
to the seat support and onto the floor of the well under the carpet; * An arterial spurt on the underside of the dashboard on the passengers side (Inquest
